Queen Dami, the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has once again found herself at the center of controversy in her relationship with Nigerian singer Portable. The drama unfolded when Dami took to Instagram to announce that she was done with the relationship, citing embarrassment and frustration.
“Alhamdulilahi, I’m done. This is too much for me. Can’t take this embarrassment again. Ire o,” she wrote.
This declaration followed Portable’s public outburst, where he questioned her loyalty and accused her of being an “online wife.” In a video, Portable criticized her for spending time online and questioned whether she was practicing polygamy. He also accused her of avoiding pregnancy while expecting access to his lifestyle and possessions.
Portable said,
Ungrateful! She said online that she never got pregnant for me. It’s a scam! She’s been aborting pregnancies. Thank God I didn’t lose my home because of you.”
In her response, Dami denied Portable’s accusations, calling him a “useless man.” She questioned why she should get pregnant for a man with multiple baby mamas and alleged that Portable threatened her, physically abused her, and wanted to use her for rituals.
Useless man! Who will get pregnant for you with all your baby mamas? You b€at me every time and left scars on my body. You’ve never paid my dowry, yet you call me your wife. God will judge between us,” she stated.
The pair’s relationship has been a rollercoaster of breakups and reconciliations. Recently, Queen Dami reconciled with Portable, warning him that she would leave if he took another wife after her. Portable has previously accused Dami of ungratefulness and interfering in his business, while Dami often defended her actions.
Portable had once praised Dami for her loyalty, expressing hope that she would eventually bear his child. However, their union has been marred by public drama, accusations, and emotional turmoil.
