Social media activist Very Dark Man has called for the arrest of controversial singer Portable. The activist took to his Instagram to accuse the singer of allegedly assaulting a man in a toilet at the Felabration event in Lagos.
Sharing a video of Portable and the alleged victim, he urged the man to reach out to him and demanded action be taken against the singer.
Imagine what Portable did to this guy. Is this fair? Why is he being treated like an animal? Is this right? This guy should reach out to me if his rights have been violated. Things like this need to stop in Nigeria. Just because you’re connected or a celebrity doesn’t mean you can abuse other people’s rights,” Very Dark Man posted.
The video quickly sparked reactions, with some people condemning Portable’s actions.
One user, Sonia, commented, “Who even made Portable famous?”
Another user, Peaceful Baddie, wrote, “Portable is doing too much these days. VDM, you’re truly Godsent— the Voice of the Voiceless.”
Mheenarh added, “Portable would never let anybody do this to him. He’s a big bully.”
Ammie Xoxo also weighed in, saying, “Honestly, Portable is a violent person with zero self-control. I’m not a fan of Very Dark Man, but I support him on this.”
Portable, known for his controversial behavior, responded to the accusations in a video posted on his Instagram page. He challenged Very Dark Man, telling him to ask about him in Abuja, insisting that “online madness” is different from real-life madness. Portable also urged his fans to say no to online bullying, claiming he was being unfairly targeted.
“Who dey cripple-ye? Awa Ọmọ who dey who dey, we go cripple you. Fear only God. Say no to ripping, say no to online bullying,” Portable said.
Despite his defense, many fans were unsympathetic. Comments criticizing his behavior flooded social media.
One fan, Ada Bekee06, wrote, “Olamide could have saved us from this mess.”
Another user, Oracle King001, commented, “Try to act like a celebrity. Not everything is agbero style.”
This is not the first time Portable has found himself in hot water. In the past, he has been involved in numerous incidents, including physical altercations. Just last month, he slapped a pastor during a live session, and earlier in the year, he fought a bike man over a missing phone. His repeated behavior has sparked concern over his violent tendencies.
Portable has also had legal troubles, facing assault charges earlier this year. Despite his controversies, he continues to have a strong fanbase, though incidents like this are starting to put his reputation under more scrutiny.
