Controversial Nigerian street artist Portable has raised concerns following an unpleasant incident during a show in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The singer shared a video of his damaged car on social media, calling on the event organizers to address the situation, which occurred during the grand opening of a hotel.
Portable, known for his electrifying performances and outspoken nature, was left frustrated after his appearance at the event turned sour. Sharing his grievances in a video, the singer displayed his damaged car and expressed disappointment with the organizers for failing to ensure his safety.
This isn’t the first time Portable has faced chaos during his public engagements.
Portable has been a victim of multiple physical altercations. Earlier this year, he was reportedly ambushed by street thugs on his way to his office. Fortunately, fans and neighbors intervened to save him.
In August last year, Portable was attacked while celebrating with a friend. He escaped unharmed but lost two iPhones, his ATM card, and some of his associates went missing during the attack.
Portable accused a rising singer of attempting to harm him spiritually. Sharing a video of charms allegedly used against him, Portable claimed he was prepared for such threats.
In another incident, the singer slapped a pastor who was preaching outside his home. Portable, who practices African traditional religion, justified his actions in a viral live video.
The singer caused a scene in Lagos when he accused a bike rider of stealing his phone. Portable engaged in a heated altercation, which required bystanders to intervene.
Portable previously claimed he was attacked by Nigerian-American singer Esquare and his entourage after failing to perform at their event. According to Portable, over 40 people assaulted him, leaving him injured. Esquare, however, denied the allegations, providing a different version of events.
