Nigerian street singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has addressed the public following recent drama with activist Very Dark Man (VDM).

Reports surfaced that VDM called for Portable’s arrest after the singer allegedly assaulted a man in the toilet during the just-concluded Felabration event in Lagos.

In response, Portable urged the activist to inquire about him in Abuja, emphasizing that online drama differs from real-life consequences. He called on his fans and supporters to reject online bullying and tearing others down. In another post, he shared a video where he expressed spiritual determination against VDM and those challenging him.

Taking to his Instagram, Portable urged his millions of followers, “Be a good person in real life, not on social media.”

Since his entry into the music scene, Portable has gained notoriety for his numerous controversies and penchant for fighting.

In September, he made headlines for slapping a pastor during a live session after confronting him for preaching outside. Following the incident, Portable returned indoors and continued ranting in Yoruba about his commitment to African traditional religion.

Earlier in July, Portable was involved in a public altercation with a bike man, whom he accused of stealing his phone. Viral videos captured the chaotic scene as bystanders attempted to separate the two as they exchanged blows.
