Former beauty queen and ex-wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious Chikwendu, has delivered a poignant public service announcement, urging news outlets and bloggers to respect her identity and refrain from patronizing her.
In a message shared on her Instagram page, Precious reintroduced herself to the public, emphasizing her desire to be addressed simply as “Precious,” without embellishments or diminutions. She sternly called on media entities to cease patronizing her identity and expressed gratitude towards those outlets that choose not to incite chaos through sensationalized reporting.
Dear News Outlets and Bloggers,” Precious wrote, “I am Precious wrote. No more, no less. Stop being patronizing with my identity. Thank you. God bless those outlets that resist the urges to create chaos. To those it may concern, take note.”
This public service announcement follows shortly after Precious revealed that she survived a harrowing car accident, which tragically claimed the life of her aide. In a candid Instagram post, she disclosed grappling with survivor’s guilt in the aftermath of the accident, expressing her struggle to communicate effectively with others in the wake of the traumatic event.
Reflecting on the significance of February 29th, 2024, the day of the accident, Precious acknowledged the confusion and uncertainty surrounding the incident but remained hopeful that clarity would eventually emerge.
