President Bola Tinubu presented the party’s flag to the standard bearer in the September 21 Edo State gubernatorial election, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa at the state house.
While presenting the All Progressives Congress flag, the President expressed optimism of APC’s victory in the election.
The President, who praised the party’s state leadership for their participation in resolving the internal crises that led to the emergence of the candidate and his running mate, feels the path is open for his party to take over state control in the next election.
The primary election in which Okpebholo emerged as a contender was marred by controversy.
