New parents Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux have marked a special milestone as they celebrated their son Rakeem’s 40th day on earth.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Prince Raheem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada.
Following Islamic tradition, the proud parents held a naming and 40th-day ceremony in Tanzania, surrounded by family and friends. Clips shared online captured the joyful celebration.
Just a week earlier, Priscilla had returned to Tanzania with her mother and newborn, where she received a grand welcome from her husband. The couple later shared beautiful family photos to mark their son’s milestone.
Like many new mothers, Priscilla proudly showed off her postpartum body, expressing gratitude for her strength. She recounted her labour room experience, revealing she was rushed to the hospital at 3 a.m. and admitting that contractions completely changed her delivery expectations.
On her postpartum journey, Priscilla credited her mother, actress Lola Alao, as her lifesaver for ensuring she rested well and recovered fully.
Priscilla and Juma Jux tied the knot in a lavish six-part wedding across Tanzania and Nigeria earlier this year. The actress also disclosed that they had privately married in a Nikkah ceremony last year before celebrating publicly with friends and family.
