Nomba, launched in 2017 as “Kudi.ai”, is a chatbot that responds to financial requests on social apps. Nomba has since evolved to empower independent businesses to act as neighborhood banks offering basic financial services such as cash withdrawal, transfer and bill payments to all Nigerians, especially those in underserved communities. Today we process more than $500m in payments monthly.

Job Description

• We are looking for a motivated and creative Product Design Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship.
• This role is perfect for aspiring designers who are eager to apply their skills in real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and enhance their design capabilities.
• As a Product Design Intern, you will be tasked with studying product design principles and applying them to assigned projects and tasks.
• The hands-on projects you work on will form the basis of your assessment score and final review at the end of the internship.
• You’ll have the opportunity to improve your skills in UX/UI design, user research, prototyping, and more while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our product offerings.

Qualification

• Basic understanding of design principles, including color theory, typography, layout, and user-centered design.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma
• A design portfolio showcasing relevant work, including personal projects, academic projects, or freelance work.
• Willingness to take on design challenges and demonstrate critical thinking in approaching problems.
• Familiarity with user research, personas, and journey mapping.
• Willingness to accept feedback and iterate designs based on team and user input.
• Ability to present ideas clearly in design critiques and team meetings.
• Demonstrated passion for product design, UX/UI design, and improving user experiences.
• Not a student (graduate or post NYSC preferrably).
