Job Description
We are looking to engage a Project Engineer, who will be responsible for ensuring that design, construction, and major maintenance projects are completed safely and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to determine the specifications of the project.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations and report to the Project Manager for approval
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Manage Bid Proposals, at times while waiting for a project in the interim.
- Ensures preparation of Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Scope of Work, Project Setup, Project Closeout, and Change Orders.
- Ability to coordinate with all departments and develop weekly and monthly project reports. Work with project expenditures, budgets, estimates, cost reports, project financial forecasts, and schedules.
- Manages the cost, schedule, safety, quality, and contractual requirements of the project through effective planning in accordance with company procedures
- Step in for the Project Manager when necessary in meetings and engagement with Clients. Collaborate with the Client’s project engineer to resolve day-to-day project issues and serve as the link between the project team and the Client project team.
Qualification
- HND / Bachelor’s Degree and professional Certification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Engineering or Construction environment.
- Advanced knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents, and plans.
- Engineering, Design, Construction, Procurement, Pipeline Maintenance, Commissioning, Installation, and high-end Project Management services.
- Advanced knowledge of Installation projects and significant experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
Location: Lagos / Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria.
