Nollywood actress Queeneth Hilbert has fired back at her colleague, Destiny Etiko, following the legal action taken against her.
Last week, Queeneth accused Destiny of “snatching people’s Odogwu,” referencing a previous incident where Destiny allegedly stole one of Queeneth’s exes from Benin who owned a Benz.
In response, Destiny Etiko, through her legal team, filed a ₦100 million defamation suit against Queeneth. The lawsuit demands that Queeneth retract her statements across all social media platforms and desist from publishing defamatory remarks about her. Destiny is also seeking a public apology for the derogatory claims.
Reacting to the suit, Queeneth Hilbert shared a screenshot on her Instagram page, revealing that she had filed an application to enforce her fundamental rights. Alongside the post, Queeneth confidently declared:
See you in court. Let’s do this.”
The actress seemed unbothered by the legal drama, sharing uplifting posts over the weekend. She spoke about how God blesses people in front of those who wish them failure and shared a video of herself enjoying her peace of mind, captioning it:
Peace of mind always reflects.”
This is not the first time Destiny Etiko has faced such accusations.
Last year, Destiny addressed rumours linking her to Omotola Ekeinde’s husband, who was alleged to have gifted her a new car. In an Instagram Live session, Destiny firmly debunked the claims, emphasizing that all her achievements were earned through hard work and not through relationships with men.
Years earlier, Destiny was rumoured to be in a relationship with Jack Rich, a married businessman and the CEO of Belema Oil. She denied the accusations, stating she had no knowledge of the man. Jack Rich also publicly refuted the claims, asserting he had never met or heard of Destiny Etiko.
