Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has chosen defender Dani Carvajal as the Los Blancos player that never fails him in crucial games. Ancelotti made the remarks after Real Madrid overcame Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.
Remember that Real Madrid defeated Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to two goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
Ancelotti said at his post-match press conference,
“He [Carvajal] never lets you down in the big games and much of the credit for the pressure we tried to employ high up came through him down the right-hand side of Chilwell”
Real Madrid will take on Chelsea in the reverse fixture next week at Stamford Bridge.
