Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has come to the defence of Big Brother Naija Level Up winner, Phyna, after a video of them hanging out sparked mixed reactions online.
In the now-viral clip, Phyna, who is still mourning the loss of her sister , was seen enjoying a night out with Regina and her team as they danced to her new song, “Bend Down.”
However, a social media user took offense, criticizing Phyna for appearing to have fun while still demanding compensation from Dangote Group over her sister’s death.
“See person wey dey mourn her sister and asked @dangotegroup to pay $80m. On Friday, she was in club vibing,” the user commented.
Responding to the backlash, Regina Daniels stood up for Phyna, explaining that grief looks different for everyone.
“She definitely cries in her private moments. But with us, the tears dey mad?” she replied.
Her response quickly earned her praise from fans, who commended her for showing empathy and loyalty. Many described Regina as “a girl’s girl” for supporting Phyna during a difficult time.
Recall that in August, Phyna publicly called out Aliko Dangote and his company after one of their trucks was allegedly involved in the accident that led to her sister’s death. The Dangote Group later issued a statement promising full support, including medical care and compensation. Sadly, Phyna’s sister passed away on August 31st.
