Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has addressed her recent statement about having “20 boyfriends” before meeting her husband, politician Ned Nwoko.
Speaking in a TikTok live session, Regina previously recounted how she had numerous suitors at the time she met Ned, a fact that stirred social media discussions. In the session, she encouraged women not to let their boyfriends stop them from finding their true partners, hinting that she would share more of her story in the future.
Taking to Instagram, Regina clarified her comments, explaining that while she had many friends who admired her, she chose to keep her virginity until marriage. She emphasized that her decision was a personal commitment and a “big flex.” Regina added that having multiple male friends doesn’t equate to intimacy and used her platform to educate young girls about setting boundaries and prioritizing self-respect.
She further noted that her post aimed to “soothe” her husband, Ned Nwoko, and to educate her young female followers. Regina’s marriage to Ned Nwoko, who is 38 years her senior, has often attracted public attention. Despite societal critiques, the actress has remained vocal about her commitment to her marriage, recently dismissing comments urging her to leave, stating that she’s committed “for life.”
Earlier this year, Ned Nwoko also drew attention with his view on marriage, stating his preference for marrying a virgin. Regina has revealed that their relationship, which developed swiftly, felt natural to her despite initial opposition from her family.
