Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has shared a strong message to men about choosing the right partner in marriage.
In a post on her Instagram page, Rita Edochie explained that a good woman is a blessing far greater than riches. According to her, such a woman uplifts her man, protects his image, and adds honour to his crown. On the other hand, she warned that a bad woman drains her husband’s strength, destroys his vision, and turns his glory into shame.
Edochie urged men to be wise in their choices, stressing that the partner they marry determines whether they rise as kings or fall as jesters. She cautioned against being swayed by beauty alone, advising men to marry character instead.
A good woman will give you a crown, while a bad one will make you a clown,” she wrote, adding that infidelity has blinded many men from truly valuing their wives.
Rita further reminded men that not everything that glitters is gold, and urged them to seek virtue rather than vanity.
This isn’t the first time the actress has spoken openly about marriage and relationships. In the past, Rita highlighted that 99 per cent of a home’s success rests on the wisdom of women, describing them as the foundation on which families are built. She also advised men not to maltreat their wives because of side affairs, noting that those same wives will be the ones to stand by them through triumphs and trials.
In another instance, she warned men against keeping their exes as “best friends,” questioning why they did not marry those women if they valued them so much. She stressed that such behaviour causes unnecessary emotional stress for their wives.
