Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has once again stirred the pot of family drama, throwing a thinly veiled shade at her nephew Yul Edochie’s second wife, Judy Austin, in response to controversial advice given by Judy.
In a recent development Judy had garnered attention for admonishing women living a wayward lifestyle during a live stream with her pastor husband. Judy cautioned against succumbing to peer pressure and abandoning studies for relationships, a message that seemingly irked Rita.
Reacting to Judy’s words, Rita pondered aloud how someone could hold another person’s husband “to ransom” while frequently airing grievances. Rita’s disdain was palpable as she hinted at an inevitable downfall for those who mock God’s will.
How can you hold somebody’s husband to ransom and you are blabbing every now and then? But I laugh because the end will be disastrous. You can never mock God. What He will do will shock you,” Rita remarked.
This isn’t the first instance of tension between Rita and Judy. Previously, after Yul publicly aired grievances against his estranged wife May, Rita accused Judy of orchestrating the smear campaign against May. Rita voiced her displeasure with Judy’s actions, suggesting that envy over May’s success led to the spreading of lies.
Despite the family rift, Rita recently embraced May Edochie as her daughter, vowing to stand by her side despite the separation from Yul. Defiant against detractors, Rita asserted her maternal role and pledged unwavering support for May.
