Veteran actress Rita Edochie has issued a stern warning to Yul Edochie and others who have been indirectly shading the late actor Junior Pope.
Earlier today, Yul Edochie took to Instagram to explain his silence and absence during Junior Pope’s funeral, stating he wanted to wait until after the burial to speak.
Yul revealed that despite their close friendship, Junior Pope had repeatedly betrayed him, which influenced his decision not to publicly mourn. He advised others to be cautious about their wishes for others, as they might backfire. His comments, however, were met with backlash from netizens who deemed them insensitive.
Rita Edochie responded strongly on her Instagram page, expressing her disapproval. She emphasized that some matters are better left unspoken and wished for Junior Pope’s soul to rest in peace, noting that he has not been allowed to rest since his passing. She lamented that the dead cannot defend themselves and criticized those who continue to tarnish his memory.
Rita affirmed that Junior Pope’s image remained untarnished in life and should remain so in death.
