The Sole Administrator of Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State, Eze Iheamnacho, has firmly dismissed circulating rumours suggesting his resignation from office.
In an official statement released on Saturday, Iheamnacho described the reports as baseless and the work of political detractors attempting to create confusion in the local government administration.
Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, Iheamnacho reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Ahoada East, emphasising that he remains fully dedicated to his responsibilities.
He urged residents to disregard the false information, which he claimed was being spread by individuals with ulterior motives seeking to destabilise the local government.
The administrator stated that he continues to enjoy the full support of the Rivers State government and remains focused on implementing developmental projects across Ahoada East.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, healthcare, and education in the area, while calling for unity among community leaders and stakeholders.
Political observers suggest the resignation rumours may be connected to recent tensions within Rivers State’s political landscape. However, Iheamnacho maintained that his administration remains stable and functional, with no plans to step down.
The Sole Administrator warned those spreading misinformation to desist, noting that such actions could undermine peace and progress in the local government.
Community leaders and youth groups in Ahoada East have expressed solidarity with Iheamnacho, pledging their continued support for his administration.
