Cristiano Ronaldo has published a farewell message following the sacking of manager Rudi Garcia. The Portugal captain has sent his good wishes to Rudi Garcia after the manager’s Al-Nassr exit was confirmed.
The former Real Madrid man took to social media almost immediately after the news was confirmed:
Pleasure to have worked with you. Wishing you all the best for the future.”
The Frenchman was appointed by the Saudi club less than a year ago. However, on Thursday, it was announced he would be leaving via a mutual agreement
Ronaldo, now 38, signed for the Riyadh-based side in December on a deal to June 2025 believed to be worth more than 400 million euros ($442m). This is in news according to sources close to Al Nassr.
He has so far scored 11 goals in 12 games for the club.
Following the marquee signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr wants to secure a manager of similar stature to continue their growth. The club is currently in second position behind Al-Ittihad with eight games to go in the season.
Under-19 head coach Dinko Jelicic has been appointed on an interim basis ahead of their big match against Al-Hilal on Tuesday.
