Veteran actress Rose Odika has boldly described herself as one of the most decent actors in Nigeria. The Yoruba star made this revelation during an interview with colleague Biola Bayo on her talk show, Talk to B.

To burst your bubble, I am one of the most decent actors you have out there,” she said with confidence.

The actress also spoke about her failed marriage, sharing that she waited five years before conceiving her only child. Sadly, her marriage ended when her baby was just over a year old.

According to her, there is no need to remain in a toxic union. She stressed that any man who marries an actress must be ready to accept her profession.

We got married and unfortunately the children weren’t coming. I didn’t get pregnant for the first five years. My baby was one year and two months when we separated finally. That’s the only child I have.

No need for toxic marriage, it isn’t worth it. A man who met you as an actor should marry you as an actor. If he cannot stay with it, then he should go,” she said.

Rose further revealed that her professional acting career began in 1989, but she rose to prominence in 1993.

Her story mirrors the experiences of other Nollywood actresses. Veteran actress Iya Awero once shared how her husband supported her acting career while courting her but turned hostile after marriage, often resorting to violence. Actress Motilola explained she announced her divorce herself after a blogger threatened to leak it, insisting no woman enters marriage intending to leave.

Opeyemi Aiyeola also confessed that she distanced herself from colleagues after marriage to protect her union, while Bukky Wright, who has married four times, admitted she is still open to marriage if it is God’s will.
