As a Sales Professional/Travel Consultant in our travel agency, you will have a multifaceted role, responsible for both attracting and engaging clients through sales efforts and providing expert guidance to help clients plan their travel experiences.
Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
- Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell a wide range of travel packages, including flights, accommodations, tours, cruises, and other travel-related services.
- Client Acquisition: Implement lead generation strategies to attract new clients and nurture relationships with potential travelers.
- Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budgets. Customize travel itineraries and packages to meet their specific requirements.
- Quoting and Pricing: Prepare and present detailed travel quotes, including pricing, itineraries, and inclusions, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Travel Consultation Responsibilities:
- Destination Knowledge: Stay updated on travel destinations, cultural experiences, and travel trends, providing clients with expert advice and recommendations.
- Itinerary Planning: Create personalized travel itineraries that include flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities, tailored to the client’s preferences.
- Reservation Management: Make and confirm bookings for flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the itinerary.
- Documentation: Ensure that all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, and travel insurance, are in order and provide guidance on the application process if required.
- Emergency Support: Be available to assist clients in the event of travel disruptions, emergencies, or changes to the itinerary. Provide solutions and alternatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications in travel or hospitality are a plus.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using sales and reservation software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of popular travel destinations, travel regulations, and cultural experiences.
- Passion for travel and a customer-focused mindset.
