Job Description
The Sales Manager will play a critical role in executing the sales strategies and development outlined in the organization’s plan related to the power and energy-based services and products that the company offers. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in driving sales growth and team performance.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Develop and Implement sales strategies, procedures, and policies related to Power Selling, Power Rental, Project Design & Execution, and Equipment Selling roles.
- Generate leads and convert to clients; meeting the organization’s targets
- Drive the achievement of sales targets and KPIs for the sales team.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead the sales team,
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets and KPIs.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and challenges to senior management.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs for the sales team and collaborate with management to provide relevant training programs.
- Continuously enhance the team’s skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of long-term sales strategies and market expansion plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis and performance data.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Background in power sector and business
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior sales leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the power solutions industry, market trends, and competition in Nigeria.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to analyze sales data and trends.
- Ability to develop and grow a sales team
- Proficient Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365 applications
