William Saliba has agreed a new four-year contract with Arsenal, The Athletic reports. The 22-year-old will remain with the Gunners until 2027 under the new terms. Saliba has enjoyed a breakout season at the Emirates this season. The Frenchman’s previous contract was due to expire in a year, putting Arsenal in danger of losing him on a free transfer in the following summer.
When the centre-back suffered an injury against Sporting that required him to miss the final 11 games of the season and end Arsenal’s title hopes, he demonstrated just how important he is to Mikel Arteta’s system. But with the official announcement soon to come, he has now joined Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, and Aaron Ramsdale in signing new contracts with the Gunners.
