Afrobeat music producer and recording artist, Samklef, has offered an update on the situation involving Very Dark Man, a social media activist who was arrested last weekend.
Taking to his Instagram page, Samklef announced that Very Dark Man would be released today on administrative bail but would still have to attend court proceedings on a daily basis.
In a somewhat mocking tone, Samklef urged Very Dark Man to share his experiences and lessons learned during his time in custody.
The arrest of Very Dark Man stemmed from allegations of cyberbullying and threats to life, particularly directed at actress Tonto Dikeh. Very Dark Man had falsely accused Tonto Dikeh of co-running the anonymous gossip blog, Gistlover, leading to death threats against the actress.
Despite expectations of release on Monday, Very Dark Man was unable to meet the bail conditions. However, his lawyer expressed confidence that the police would handle the matter professionally and release him on bail. If not, legal action would be pursued.
