Sammy West, brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has once again spoken out against domestic violence and the obsession with money.

Taking to his Instagram story, Sammy shared a thought-provoking post, recalling how, back in secondary school, people debated whether a good name was better than riches. According to him, those lessons make more sense now than ever.

“When we had debates in Secondary school on A good name is better than riches, na now you go understand! I no dey worship money. Respect is a beautiful thing,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, the musician and actor boldly declared:

“Say no to domestic violence.”

His comments come amid ongoing controversy surrounding his sister Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband Ned Nwoko, following reports of alleged domestic violence.

Days ago, a viral video showed Regina in the midst of men, with her brother Sammy stepping in to protect her from thugs allegedly sent by her husband. Shortly after, Ned Nwoko issued a public statement claiming Regina was struggling with “drug and alcohol abuse” and had displayed violent behaviour at home — allegations that sparked massive backlash online.

Sammy, defending his sister, made it clear that he does not tolerate the assault of women, regardless of the situation. His elder brother, Sweezzy, also dismissed Ned’s claims, noting that no marriage is perfect.

Meanwhile, Ned Nwoko’s brother, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has called for privacy, urging the public to remain calm as the matter is being handled within the family.

Several celebrities have since reacted. Actress Yvonne Jegede advised Regina to leave the marriage if the reports were true, warning against staying in any abusive relationship. Georgina Onuoha also criticized Ned Nwoko for publicly humiliating the mother of his children.

However, according to popular blogger Cutie Juls, the couple has now reconciled, with Regina reportedly moving back into her husband’s home. Media personality Toby Blush also confirmed their reconciliation, writing, “Dem no dey put mouth for husband and wife matter.”

The news has stirred mixed reactions online, while some fans expressed relief that peace has returned, others urged Regina to prioritize her well-being above luxury.

Interestingly, just a week before the controversy, Regina had proudly flaunted a diamond ring her husband gifted her after she misplaced the old one. On her birthday, Ned had also described her as a “creative soul and a loving mother who balances fame and family with grace.”
