Senator Teslim Foralin (APC-Oyo Central) has opened a multi-billion naira 100-bed maternal and child hospital in his Senate constituency.
This was included in a statement signed by his media adviser Yekeen Olaniyi and released to journalists in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The Oyo State All Progressive Congress Governorship Candidate for the 2023 General Election, Mr. Foralin chairs the Senate Local Content Committee.
His well-equipped 100-bed hospital is located in the Abonde, Ona-Ara Local Government in Oyo State.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Sustainable Development Goals and Prof. Jesse Otegbayo, the Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital.
According to the Senator, the projects will promote quality health care for women and children and support UCH, the state’s only federal tertiary health facility.
The 100-bed facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including operating theatres, recovery rooms, private and general wards, scanning rooms, consultation rooms and laboratories, he said.
He further added, “Others are ultra-scan machine, vacuum extractor delivery set and emergency cart with full compliments. The advanced medical facility also has quarters for doctors and other medical personnel. The project was made possible through the office of Senior Special Assistant to President on SDGs”.
