SENIOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Carry out/supervise site inspections: understand customer requirements and recommendations. senior field service engineer
Responsibilities
- Carry out/supervise site inspections: understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare/supervise the preparation of the site for installation.
- Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Install/supervise equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Commission equipment, operate, and provide customer training on equipment operation.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports for sites visited.
- Advise on all technical aspects of systems and be credible to colleagues and customers.
- Carry out/supervise routine preventative maintenance visits at customer sites.
- Repair/supervise the repair of equipment utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools, both at the site and in the workshop.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine solutions. Consult with other engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
- Attend to any breakdown calls at the customer site, restoring the service disruption as quickly as possible.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with standards.
- Prepare accessories for future installations.
- Attend training as and when required.
- Train and mentor Junior Service Engineers on all responsibilities outlined above.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, and applicable state laws and positively represent the company.
- Keep honest and accurate records of transportation and expenses.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sharing customer feedback within the Engineering department.
- Display a positive brand image both in terms of appearance and by providing excellent customer service
- Work outside of standard office hours as required, including weekends through the NNL Flexible Working Policy.
- Any other duties as assigned by the management. Jobs
Qualification
- HND/bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years working experience in a Power solution company.
- Experience in brands of UPS e.g. Riello, Legrand, Socomec, Tescom, Vertiv, Schneider ranging from 10kVA to MegaWatt Capacity.
- Experience with Static AVR as well as Servo Voltage Stabilizer.
- Proven field service experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
- Must be ready to travel to any state in Nigeria and neighboring West African Countries.
- Strong communication and IT skills
