However, his appeal was met with criticism when netizens noticed his luxury $2,800 watch, currently valued at $340 million. Many found it hypocritical for him to speak about economic hardship while sporting such an expensive accessory.
Actress Mercy Aigbe also joined the conversation, addressing Seyi Tinubu directly in an open statement. She pleaded with him to speak to his father about the dire economic situation in Nigeria. On Instagram, she highlighted the rising poverty rate and the impact of the economy on people’s lives, stressing the severity of the situation for everyone involved.
