During the interview, Simi discussed her latest heartache song, “Stranger,” and expressed her ability. To write relatable music might stem from being an advocate for the heartbroken. She joked that she was a champion for the repeatedly heartbroken, comparing heartbreak to missing breakfast.
Simi mentioned her fascination with love and acknowledged it. That there are certain aspects of relationships she hasn’t explored in her music. Specifically, she discussed the feeling of changing oneself, accepting things, or adapting to situations that one wouldn’t normally do. She expressed that looking in the mirror and feeling like a different person was an interesting perspective to sing about.
