We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager with healthcare experience to join our team at MedTech Africa. As a leading healthcare technology company, we are dedicated to improving access to comprehensive healthcare in Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our social media presence, developing engaging content, and implementing effective digital marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our brand objectives and target audience.
- Manage, create engaging content, and maintain our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Thread, and YouTube.
- Work with our digital design team to create compelling and informative content for social media channels, including posts, graphics, videos, and cardiovascular health articles.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends to identify opportunities for social media engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and develop cohesive digital marketing campaigns.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of social media initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging social media trends, tools, and platforms and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Monitor competitors and industry leaders to identify best practices and innovative approaches in social media marketing.
Qualification
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role in the healthcare or related industry.
- Must have at least 10k followers or previously grew/managed a social media page of more than 20k followers.
- Strong core experience in content creation, copywriting, and digital marketing.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in graphic design software and video editing tools.
- Solid understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate unique and engaging content ideas.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest social media trends and emerging platforms.
- A passion for healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact on healthcare delivery in Africa.
