Sonia Ighalo, the former wife of footballer Jude Okoye, has made serious allegations against Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie in which Junior Pope and others tragically lost their lives.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Ighalo claimed that Luke, whom she referred to as a “quack” producer, was one of her ex-husband’s extramarital affairs when he was in China. Although not explicitly named, many inferred she was referring to the actress, especially as she mentioned Luke’s involvement in running a boutique.
Expressing her devastation over Junior Pope’s death, Ighalo reflected on her past media conflicts with her ex-husband and saved hurtful comments about her, questioning if he knew she was the mother of his children. She expressed regret over his passing and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Ighalo’s accusations have sparked outrage against Luke on social media platforms, leading to the Actors Guild of Nigeria issuing a public statement banning actors from appearing in Luke’s movies and suspending the implicated movie indefinitely.
Sarah Martins, a colleague, criticized Luke for her alleged recklessness, blaming her for the tragedy and describing her movie as low-budget without necessary safety measures. However, after facing backlash, Martins publicly apologized for her statement.
