Nollywood star Sotayo Gaga is filled with gratitude and joy as her daughter clocks one. The proud mum took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone, sharing adorable photos of herself and her mini-me, who is the exact replica of her.
In her emotional post, the actress described her daughter as a wonderful, strong, and beautiful girl, while expressing deep appreciation to God for the journey of motherhood.
Taking to her Instagram page to further reflect, Sotayo noted that she’s not one to write long captions about her emotions online, but she couldn’t hold back her gratitude. She thanked her Maker, her daughter’s father, and everyone who celebrated with her family through gifts and kind wishes.
She wrote:
“What’s there not to be thankful for? I’m not the type who likes to do that long typing, nor write exactly how I feel for the next person to see. But in all, THANK YOU, LORD.

As the new month began, Sotayo also took a moment to reflect on the past year, noting how motherhood has reshaped her life. “I have been a mother to many,” she said, “but I officially became a mother to a special soul last year.”
Kemi Filani recalls that the actress welcomed her first child in November 2023, keeping the news private until after delivery. She later shared snippets of her pregnancy journey and was showered with congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues, including Aisha Lawal, Joke Jigan, Toyin Adewale, and Sola Olaibi.
Sotayo Gaga, who tied the knot secretly in March 2021, has continued to maintain a low profile about her husband’s identity. Following her marriage, she received several chieftaincy titles in Nasarawa State, leading many to believe her spouse hails from the region.
