Controversial Nigerian rapper and singer Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, has taken his quest for a wife to a new level, causing a stir online.
The content creator, who has been searching for a wife for weeks, has now erected a signboard in his village to expedite the process.
In a video shared by the rapper, Speed Darlington can be seen standing next to a man putting up the signboard, which features his picture and his specific requirements for a partner. He emphasized that his search for a wife is serious and not a joke, contrary to what many might think.
The video has garnered a lot of attention and reactions online, with some suggesting potential partners like relationship therapist Blessing CEO or influencer Saida. Here are some of the comments:
– Chika1985 Blog: “Speed Darlington is a very big red flag.”
– Mimi Ozigis: “He forgot to add that he doesn’t have a sense.”
– Udochukwu:* “Please marry Blessing CEO or Saideboj.”
– I Am Nmadee:* “Make I do my own.”
– Ayam Sparks: “A man in his mid-30s looking for 18-23 is sick.”
– Hotylioness:”After you scatter another person. Werey sey he dey find virgin.”
– Kissi Smith: “Akpi you for just create your own woman from your image.”
– Bitcoin Chief: “Lol, what he wants exists.”
– The Student Connect TV: “Not sure a lady with all these qualities will want to marry someone like Akpi.”
Weeks ago, Speed Darlington listed the qualities he seeks in a wife, including specific skin tone, height, age, educational qualifications, and a business mindset. He also expressed his preference for marrying a virgin. Alongside these demands, he listed his own qualities and what he has to offer to his future wife, urging interested ladies to apply.
Speed Darlington’s search for a wife is not his only recent controversy. Last year, he blamed fellow musician Patoranking for his loss of interest in actress Nancy Isime, claiming that Patoranking only showed interest in her after Darlington posted her photos on social media. Additionally, when DJ Cuppy’s engagement fell through, he questioned whether she married for love or succumbed to peer pressure from her father, hoping she didn’t rush her relationship to outdo her sister, Temi Otedola, who is married to singer Mr Eazi.
