Speed Darlington may have spent four days behind bars, but his spirit remains unbroken. The controversial rapper took to Instagram to update his fans on his life following his recent altercation with Burna Boy.

In his post, Speed Darlington clarified that his absence from social media was not due to the experience of being locked up, but rather because his phones were still in police custody in Abuja. He noted that a new phone he ordered had yet to arrive.

This latest incident marks the eighteenth time Speed Darlington has been incarcerated; he revealed that he has faced arrest about seventeen times in the United States. Reflecting on his experiences, he compared the conditions of Nigerian prisons to those in the U.S., stating that if one did not have connections in U.S. prisons, the situation could be dire. He also expressed concern for some of the inmates he encountered in Nigeria, sharing their heartbreaking stories of being held for months without access to legal representation.

Speed Darlington recounted his own challenges while in custody, including the lack of communication with his family and lawyer. He mentioned that his friends from Anambra state were disappointed he hadn’t informed them of his arrest sooner, but he emphasized that the lack of access to his phones made that impossible.

Despite his recent challenges, Speed Darlington has managed to maintain a visible online presence. His legal team issued an apology through his Instagram account, which he later retracted. Since his release, he has participated in several live video rants, confidently asserting that he is superior to Burna Boy in various aspects.
