Popular singer Spyro recently took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the responsibilities that come with fame. He expressed that being a celebrity is not a birthright but rather a privilege that should be handled with care.
Being a celebrity is a privilege and an opportunity, not anyone’s birthright. It doesn’t make us different from anyone else; we’ve only found grace. It’s not for us to isolate ourselves and expect to be worshipped and praised while being unkind to our fellow humans,” he stated.
Spyro urged his fellow celebrities to show kindness, noting that small acts can create significant ripple effects. He shared a personal anecdote about the late SOUND SULTAN, whom he admired for his compassion.
I do the little I do today because a man called SOUND SULTAN chose to be kind. I saw him show kindness when he didn’t have to,” he recalled.
He emphasized the impact celebrities can have on others, saying,
Your actions as a celebrity have ripple effects on people. You can kill millions of destinies just by moving wrong, and yet you can give life by doing right. WHICH ONE E GO BE?”
Recalling a memorable moment, he said,
I once saw SOUND SULTAN chasing after a thief who had stolen someone’s phone at a party. He ran after the guy like Usain Bolt. That moment changed me. He is gone now, but his legacy lives on. A little kindness will go a long way.”
Spyro concluded his message with a special appeal to young and upcoming celebrities
There is no gain in hostility. Remember, the same God that gives can also take.”
