Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine business strategies and initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of action plans for identified areas of improvement.
- Design/select data-gathering approaches and instruments, including a mix of qualitative and quantitative information, and primary and secondary sources.
- Communicating and monitoring the implementation of the strategies of the company.
- Translate the entity’s strategic direction and objectives into plans, programs, and initiatives, and track the achievement of set targets and milestones.
- Conduct frequent research and analysis of macro, industry, and competitive trends across the globe to distill key strategic learnings for internal growth and development.
- Communicate qualitative recommendations to relevant business units on potential strategic opportunities.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend initiatives to close gaps.
- Analyze the company’s operational footprint and communicate implications and recommendations to the management team.
Strategy and Finance Analyst expectations:
- Monitor and stay abreast of industry, national and global developments, and events to ensure the company can maintain and sharpen its strategic positioning.
- Analyze to assess business performance and monitor risk.
- Prepare communication reports and disseminate them to internal stakeholders regularly.
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Evaluate and monitor financial performance metrics, identify areas of improvement, and make recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and insights.
- Assist in developing business cases, financial models, and risk assessments to evaluate the financial viability of investment opportunities.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance against targets and benchmarks.
- Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on KPIs and financial performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, and potential risks or opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales, to gather data and insights for analysis.
- Support cross-functional projects by providing financial and strategic analysis, and contributing to decision-making processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in Financial Advisory or Strategy in Big 4 Management Consulting or PE firms.
- Experience in strategic planning, business analysis, financial analysis and modeling, and project management.
- Experience in transforming raw data into actionable management insights.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams.
