Sunmbo Adeoye, the former partner of music legend 2Baba, is marking a major milestone—12 beautiful years of marriage to her husband, Pastor David Adeoye.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of two shared stunning anniversary photos with her husband and poured out her heart in gratitude to God. She described David Adeoye as her “divine compensation,” a fresh start she never expected but one that came with God’s full package of restoration and reward.
“12 Years with My Divine Compensation. Wow! Thank You, Jesus!” she wrote.
“Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of David x Sunmbo Adeoye was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true.” (Joshua 21:45)
Sunmbo reflected on how far God has brought her and used the opportunity to pray for other women who are trusting God for new beginnings or marital restoration.
“I use this as a point of contact for every woman believing God for a fresh start,” she wrote.
“My God will give you a father, a friend, a brother, and a mentor—all wrapped in one man. Your own divine compensation.”
She encouraged those still waiting to hold on to hope, reminding them that their new chapter is already unfolding—even if they can’t see it yet.
The inspirational coach also plugged her memoir Refurbished Hope for a Fresh Start, now available on Selar and Amazon, where she shares her personal journey of transformation and healing.
“If you’re waiting, trusting, or praying for a new beginning, know that your new chapter is not only possible—it’s already being written.”
Back in July 2023, during their 10th anniversary, Sunmbo publicly thanked her husband for loving her completely and embracing her two sons from her previous relationship. She has since remained vocal about how much she values her husband, often referring to him as the best gift God ever gave her.
