The Super Eagles and world champions Argentina will play a high-profile friendly on Tuesday, March 26 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in the United States.
Due to disagreements between Chinese officials and Argentina’s captain Lionel Messi, the friendly that was originally set to take place in China had to be cancelled.
The Super Eagles will play for the first time since losing to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final.
In their eight previous meetings, Argentina has prevailed six times against Nigeria.
La Albiceleste has lost against the Super Eagles twice.
The West Africans will utilise the game to prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, which are scheduled for June.
