Job Description
To stock the materials received from vendors properly to ensure easy access to identification, verification, handling, maintenance, etc.
Responsibilities
- · Ensure the implementation of the Inventory management system.
- To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access to identification, verification, handling, maintenance, etc.
- To ensure accurate accounting of the materials received and issued.
- To ensure proper safety measures are taken for the safety of the store building, materials in the store, and the men working in the store.
- Maintains records and logs of items received, issued, and shipped including a description of articles, type, and other identifying information by established procedures
- Takes physical inventory of supplies and equipment to determine actual amounts on hand, to review and/or reconcile stock records to detect spoilage, damage, or variances in quantity.
- Effective communication on the status of stock items to the user and another stakeholder.
- Strong coordination with team, user departments, and other stakeholder
- Analysis of the aging of stocks & communication with the management about obsolete Stock.
- Ensure store environment is clean and well arranged
- Ensure compliance with Organization policies and procedures, regulations, and local laws.
Qualification
- HND or Degree in Science, Engineering, Social Science, and Technology or Equivalent Certificate in a technical or business-related discipline.
- Minimum 2 – 3 years previous as store officer.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation, and Outlook)
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Sense of humor and good interpersonal skills.
