Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, is relishing a surreal moment after making her runway debut for the international brand L’Oreal Paris.

Taking to her Instagram page, Temi shared a clip from the memorable event, expressing how walking alongside women who have inspired her was a dream come true. As the Digital African Ambassador for L’Oreal, she highlighted how honored she felt to represent the beauty and strength of African women on a global stage.

EMPOWERED. Still can’t believe I walked the @lorealparis Défilé Show. Walking alongside so many women who inspire me was a dream come true!!! As L’Oréal’s Digital African Ambassador, it’s an honor to show the beauty of being an African Woman to the world,” Temi wrote.

She also expressed deep gratitude to L’Oreal Paris and their team for making the night unforgettable, vowing never to forget her first-ever runway moment.

Celebrities took to the comment section to congratulate her on her achievement:

  • Anita Okoye wrote, “Major!!”
  • Ini Edo commented with a fire emoji
  • Yomi Gold wrote, “Effortlessly.”
  • Joke Silva commented, “Absolutely beautiful.”
  • Kiekie responded with a love emoji.
  • Uche Jombo and Kaffy also sent their love with fire and clapping emojis.

In June, Temi had proudly announced that she was the global influencer and Digital African Ambassador for L’Oreal, the world’s leading cosmetics brand known for accessible luxury. She made history as the first African to hold that position, representing Nigerian beauty on the global stage.

However, her accomplishment didn’t go without some controversy. Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba took to social media to remind the public that she was the first Nigerian to model for L’Oreal, noting that although she wasn’t loud about it, she had the receipts to prove it. Shading Temi, Oluchi suggested that history could be rewritten through “prepaid magical media outlets.”

Temi Otedola seems to be living up to her New Year’s resolution, which she boldly declared in January, stating that 2024 was her year to conquer all things.

Despite being born into wealth, Temi has revealed in past interviews that she hasn’t always relied on her family’s fortune. At 15, following her mother’s advice, she worked three summer jobs, earning $1,200 and learning the value of financial independence.
