A popular TikToker, widely recognized as Verydarkman, has taken to social media to publicly call out Nollywood actress Uche Jombo for what he perceives as deceptive advertising practices.
In a scathing TikTok video, Verydarkman criticized the actress, labelling her as a “fraudster” and accusing her of promoting products falsely for her personal gain. He pointed out that Uche, like many other celebrities, allegedly doesn’t use the products she endorses and only promotes them to benefit financially.
Verydarkman emphasized the negative impact of such practices on Uche Jombo’s fans, particularly those who might believe that using the products will help them achieve the actress’s seemingly flawless skin. He claimed that Uche’s advertising could lead her followers to purchase these products, only to experience adverse effects on their skin.
Why will Uche Jombo apply makeup on her face for a skincare advertisement, giving the impression that the cream is responsible for her glowing skin when she’s not actually glowing? You can clearly see she’s wearing makeup in that video while singing ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ yet the color of her facial skin differs from that of her hand. This is deceptive advertising and a cruel act.
It’s evident that you don’t use that cream, but because of your unsuspecting and trusting followers, you want to capitalize on their admiration for your skin and deceive them for a small monetary gain. This could ultimately harm their skin; it’s a cruel act.”
It’s worth noting that Uche Jombo is not the only celebrity targeted by Verydarkman’s accusations. He recently called out Nkechi Blessing, and the actress responded to his allegations.
