Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has made a candid revelation about her love life, admitting she has never truly experienced love , except from her son, Jamal.
In a recent interview, the award-winning singer confessed that despite trying repeatedly, she has never had that deep, soul-mate connection many people talk about. According to her, she is beginning to accept that love might not be for her in this lifetime.
“I think I have never experienced true love except from my son. I have never experienced that soul mate kind of thing. I have tried over and over again, maybe love isn’t for me in this lifetime,” Tiwa said.
Since her divorce from music executive Tee Billz in 2018, Tiwa has kept her romantic life away from the spotlight, leaving fans to speculate. Over the years, there have been rumors linking her to other celebrities — including her junior colleague, Wizkid, after their cozy moments in his “Fever” music video — but neither party confirmed the relationship.
In 2022, Tiwa broke down on stage while reflecting on her love life, revealing she had been served “breakfast” multiple times, Nigerian slang for breakups. Last year, she jokingly sent a message to her future husband, warning him about her playful and sometimes unserious nature.
Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz tied the knot in November 2013 and welcomed their son in 2015. Their marriage ended three years later following mutual accusations of infidelity and drug use.
