Toke Makinwa Christmas Decorations have taken centre stage this year as the media personality prepares for her very first Christmas as a mum. The proud new mother, who welcomed her daughter earlier this year, shared a video of her grand festive setup on Instagram, noting that this season feels different because it marks a new chapter for her family.
In the video, Toke explained that she is excited to start a new tradition with her daughter, Yakira. She revealed that she wanted to handle the decorations herself this year, reconnecting with the traditions she grew up with and hoping to pass them on as her daughter grows older.

This Christmas is personal for me. My first Christmas as a mom, my daughter’s first Christmas. New family tradition unlocked,” she wrote.
Toke added that she had ordered personalised ornaments from the moment her daughter was born, and seeing them come to life made the moment even more special. She shared how baby Yaya is already fascinated by the lights and décor, often staring at them in wonder.
Last month, Toke celebrated Yakira’s 3-month milestone, sharing sweet photos and reflecting on how deeply motherhood has touched her. The media personality welcomed her baby girl, Yakira Eliana, at age 40, a moment she once described as an answered prayer.
On November 2nd, she dedicated her daughter to God at a well-attended event that saw the presence of friends and public figures including Shade Okoya, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Mercy Aigbe, Ruth Kadiri, Eniola Badmus, and more. Toke later posted a clip from the dedication, calling the day unforgettable.
She also shared how motherhood had healed a long-standing ache in her heart and how her daughter has brought her indescribable joy. On her podcast, Toke tearfully recalled praying to God to become a mother by the time she turned 40, only to discover she conceived the month after her birthday.
