Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has officially embraced motherhood as she welcomed her first child, a baby girl.
The former OAP, who revealed earlier this month that she was expecting, announced the arrival of her daughter, whom she named Yakira Eliana, Olakitan, Iyanuoluwa, Ikeoluwa, and Adunola.
Expressing her joy, Toke described this as the happiest moment of her life. She revealed that her daughter has brought her a kind of love she never knew existed and declared that she has witnessed the goodness of God in her life.
“I’m a Mommy… This is the happiest I’ve ever been.
My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being.
I have seen the goodness of God in my lifetime, I have seen God move, and my miracle is finally here.”
Toke, who affectionately calls her baby “Mama Yaya,” shared that every detail of her daughter’s birth felt like answered prayers. She described Yakira Eliana as her “purpose, reason, and evidence” of God’s faithfulness.
The news comes weeks after Toke broke down in tears on her podcast, where she revealed that she had asked God to bless her with motherhood by her 40th birthday. She disclosed that she became pregnant just a month later, a testimony she calls nothing short of divine.
Despite her joy, Toke admitted she struggled with fear during her pregnancy, often worrying about what could go wrong. After gracing the cover of Marie Claire magazine, she confessed that she battled with the urge to hide her happiness but was reminded that the gifts of God come without sorrow.
