Nigerian photographer and ex-wife of music star 9ice, Toni Payne, has shared a controversial opinion about billionaire Elon Musk, stirring mixed reactions on social media.
Taking to her Instagram story, Toni expressed skepticism about Musk’s intellectual prowess, stating that he gives off “grown man with a toddler’s brain capacity vibes.” She went on to describe him as slow and impulsive, suggesting that his success comes more from acquiring ideas than his own innovations.
“I’ve been tryna find the word to describe Elon Musk. Bobo, ye slow gan. He gives off grown man with a toddler’s brain capacity vibes… Just have money and buy ideas cos there’s no way in hell he’s smart enough to be as innovative as people thought he was. Plus, he is way too impulsive.”
Her remarks didn’t sit well with many social media users, who were quick to criticize her. In response, Toni doubled down on her statements, slamming her critics as overly defensive of someone she described as a racist who wouldn’t help them in times of need.
“Lmao! Idiots are pained because I said Elon is tortoise 🐢. My fucking opinion. Deal with it! Running kiti kiti for a racist that wouldn’t spit on them if they were on fire… Na Madam UK Kemi B fit una. See them foaming at the mouth, like rabid dogs.”
She further attributed their reactions to misplaced priorities, suggesting that their worship of wealth clouds their judgment.
Toni Payne’s critique comes weeks after actress Caroline Danjuma jokingly expressed her wish for Elon Musk to be her father or uncle, citing her love for luxury.
