Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh says healing made her private, growth made her picky, and peace made her unbothered as she embraces a new chapter of her life.
Known for her bold and often controversial personality, the actress revealed on Instagram that she has tamed her wild side and stepped into a calmer season. Sharing a reflective post, she wrote:
“Healing made me private.
Growth made me picky.
And peace made me unbothered.”
Her words sparked reactions from fans who applauded her transformation. One admirer wrote, “Peace is underrated,” while another commented, “This is the power of self-love.” Others encouraged her to protect her joy and praised her for embracing growth.
However, not everyone got the message right. A fan misquoted her and asked if she was in love. Responding sharply, Tonto clarified that her focus is on money and power, not romance:
“Mtcheww we dey chase money and power, you dey talk about love.”
Tonto Dikeh’s last known relationship was with politician Prince Kpokpogri in 2021. The pair went public in June that year but broke up months later after voice notes of him badmouthing her surfaced online. Their split quickly became one of Nollywood’s messiest celebrity breakups, with accusations of fraud, blackmail, and infidelity making headlines.
Before Kpokpogri, Tonto was married to businessman Olakunle Churchill, with whom she shares a son. That marriage also ended in a public fallout.
Turning 40 in June, the actress spoke about her new mindset, explaining that she now makes intentional prayers rooted in self-awareness and wisdom. Earlier this year, she also revealed that this is the calmest phase of her life, shaped by faith and maturity.
