The divorce saga of legendary musician 2baba and his actress wife Annie Idibia has stirred conversations across various platforms.
Media personality and former OAP Tolulope Oniru, popularly known as Toolz, is the latest celebrity to express her thoughts on the matter. She joined a growing list of public figures criticizing the timing and manner of 2baba’s announcement.
Speaking on her podcast, Off Air, Toolz opined that the couple should have handled the divorce privately, especially given Annie’s vulnerability at the time. She highlighted how Annie was already facing public backlash due to her portrayal on the reality show Young, Famous, and African and lamented the unfortunate timing of 2baba’s announcement.
Toolz remarked:
“This is something they could have handled privately, especially with what was going on with Annie at that point. It didn’t need to come out now. People get divorced privately all the time.”
She also reminisced on the couple’s love story, expressing sadness that the dream of a “happily-ever-after” for Annie didn’t materialize.
