Nollywood actor and filmmaker Tope Adebayo Salami has announced the successful completion of filming Jagun Jagun 2, expressing immense gratitude to his Creator and the entire production team.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Tope reflected on the journey, stating that just a few weeks ago, they began this project, and now it’s finally a wrap.
Alhamdudilahi For Everything. Few weeks ago, we embarked on this journey, and finally, it’s a wrap. A big THANK YOU to the entire production crew and cast. Expect the unexpected! See ya!” he wrote.
The announcement has garnered congratulatory messages from his Nollywood colleagues, including actors like Odunlade Adekola, Yinka Quadri, and Jamiu Azeez, who praised the successful completion of the film.
Tope Adebayo, the son of veteran actor Adebayo Salami, is known for his dedication to the craft and his contributions to the Nigerian film industry. His film Jagun Jagun 2 follows in the footsteps of his elder brother Femi Adebayo, whose movie Jagun Jagun became a global success after being released on Netflix. The film gained over 2.1 million views and ranked 5th in Non-English Charts, further cementing the Adebayo family’s legacy in Nollywood.
Femi Adebayo’s Jagun Jagun also won an award at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) for Best Indigenous Language Film and was nominated for multiple awards at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
