In the wake of the abduction of 25 girls in Kebbi State, Toyin Abraham has reacted to the abduction of 25 girls by reaching out to mothers everywhere.

On her Instagram page, the Nollywood star admitted she has struggled to move past the weight of the disturbing video from Kwara. She wondered how any mother is expected to sleep at night knowing that 25 young girls have been taken from their families, girls who should be learning, laughing, and growing.

Speaking directly to mothers, she said women carry a certain kind of fear that settles deep in their bones. For them, news like this is not just another report; it feels like a wound. She described how every mother imagines the faces of the children, the trembling hands of their parents, and the heaviness that follows.

Toyin went on to lament how terrorism and religious extremism continue to tear communities apart, reshaping how people live, love, pray, and hope. She questioned how society can confront a world where innocent children are kidnapped and killed in the name of hate, and how parents can protect their children when cruelty moves without consequence.

Earlier, Iyabo Ojo also called for immediate action. She said the abduction of the girls is a painful reminder of the Chibok tragedy and insisted that the country cannot continue like this. She urged Nigerians to stand together against injustice and listed practical steps the government must take, including investigating internal security breaches, strengthening military equipment, and taking decisive action against terrorists.

Music star Davido also expressed his sorrow over the situation. He said no family deserves such pain and called for unity as he prayed for the victims of both the Kebbi abduction and the recent attack on a church in Kwara. He warned that violence must never be allowed to become normal.

Toyin Abraham is no stranger to speaking up in difficult moments. After the Ibadan explosion last year, she visited victims and offered prayers, saying the tragedy left her short of words. Iyabo Ojo, too, has consistently used her platform to call out the country’s challenges—from rising kidnappings, to the government’s controversial welfare plans, to the silence of leaders during nationwide protests.
