A touching video of Nollywood actresses Toyin Abraham and Iyabo Ojo during preparations for Iyabo’s daughter Priscilla’s wedding has captured the hearts of fans.
Though Toyin was notably absent from the grand Tanzanian wedding finale due to the release of her new movie Iyalode on June 6th, she made sure to check in on Iyabo. In a heartfelt video circulating online, Toyin called Iyabo as she prepared for the big day, expressing how much she missed her and regretted not being able to attend.
Iyabo comforted Toyin, assuring her that she understood the commitment to her movie project.
Toyin, who played the role of an “Oversabi Aunty” and Iya Iyawo Kekere (little mother of the bride) during Priscilla’s civil and traditional Nigerian weddings, has been a vocal supporter throughout the celebrations. She even had a notable confrontation with influencer Enioluwa during the traditional wedding, defending Iyabo fiercely.
From celebrating Priscilla’s engagement to showing excitement over her warm welcome by her in-laws, Toyin has consistently expressed pride and affection for the bride, calling her her daughter and promising a lively gele-tying ceremony for herself.
In a recent shout-out, Iyabo praised Toyin’s unwavering support and referred to her as the “over sabi Aunty,” highlighting the close bond the two share.
