Bayern Munich’s new manager, Thomas Tuchel, is said to want to recruit Manchester United target Victor Osimhen in the summer. This comes before Bayern Munich’s first-leg Champions League quarter-final match against Manchester City on Tuesday night.
Last summer, Bayern Munich witnessed Robert Lewandowski leave for Barcelona.
Instead of bringing in a natural centre-forward, they signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool. They have also relied heavily on Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting this season. Mane, 31, prefers to play as a left winger, while Choupo-Moting, 34, has been fantastic this season, but the Cameroon international is not a long-term option.
According to El Nacional, Bayern Munich has selected Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli, as a target for next season’s frontline. The Nigerian striker has previously been linked with moves to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Transfer fees for the 24-year-old are expected to be over €150 million.
